About Joe's Plumbing

Las Vegas water is some of the hardest in the country, and most of what we fix traces back to it — scaled water heaters, seized angle stops, fixtures that fail years before they should. We have been working on Valley homes since 2011, long enough to know which neighborhoods still have polybutylene in the walls, which slabs tend to hide leaks, and which streets sit on caliche hard enough to slow a sewer dig to a crawl. We quote before we start, we show you the problem, and we clean up before we leave.

Who you'll actually meet

The same people answer the phone and turn up at your door. No call center, no rotating subcontractors.

Joe Alvarez

Owner, Master Plumber

Licensed in Nevada since 2011 and still running service calls most days. Started the company after a decade working for someone else and deciding he could answer the phone better.

Danny Ruiz

Lead Service Technician

Twelve years in the Valley, specializing in slab leak detection and whole-home repipes. If your leak is under concrete, Danny is usually the one who finds it.

Terrence Whitlock

Water Treatment Specialist

Handles softener installs, filtration, and whole-home water testing. Will happily explain grains per gallon for longer than you asked.

What customers say

Woke up to water coming through the ceiling at 5am. Joe answered the phone himself and had someone here before seven. Found the slab leak without tearing up half the house, and the price was what he quoted on the phone.
Marisol T. · Henderson
They told me my water heater had another two years in it if I let them flush it, instead of selling me a new one. That is not what the last company told me. Been using them for everything since.
Grant W. · Summerlin
Full repipe on a 1991 house with polybutylene. Four days, drywall patched, and they kept the water on overnight both nights so we could stay in the house. Worth every dollar.
Adaeze O. · Spring Valley
Installed a softener and the difference in the shower alone was worth it. No more spotting on the glass, and the coffee maker stopped scaling up every three months.
Bill R. · Centennial Hills
Ran a gas line out to our new barbecue and pulled the permit without me having to chase anything. Inspector passed it first time. Refreshing.
Priya N. · Enterprise
Kitchen drain had backed up three times in a year with two other companies. These guys put a camera down it, found roots in the lateral, jetted it properly and showed me the footage. No problems since.
Devon M. · North Las Vegas

Common questions

Do you charge for estimates?
No. Estimates are free and we give you a firm price before any work begins. If we are diagnosing something hidden, like a slab leak, the detection fee is quoted up front and credited toward the repair.
How hard is the water in Las Vegas, really?
Valley water runs roughly 16 to 18 grains per gallon, which is classified as very hard. In practice that means water heaters scale and lose efficiency, angle stops seize, and fixtures fail years earlier than they should. A softener is the single most effective thing most Valley homeowners can do to reduce plumbing repairs.
My house was built in the early 90s. Should I worry about polybutylene?
Possibly. Polybutylene was used widely between 1978 and 1995 and appears as grey flexible supply pipe. The pipe usually holds, but the fittings crack without warning, often inside a wall. If you have it, an inspection is worth doing before it becomes an insurance claim.
Do you offer emergency service?
Yes, 24 hours a day. Call the main number and it routes to whoever is on call. Most Valley emergency calls we reach within the hour.
Are you licensed and insured?
Yes. Nevada State Contractors Board license NV-0087412, fully insured and bonded. We are happy to provide a certificate of insurance on request.
What areas do you cover?
The whole Las Vegas Valley — Las Vegas, Henderson, North Las Vegas, Summerlin, Spring Valley, and Enterprise. If you are just outside that, call anyway; we often travel further than the list suggests.
Do you offer any kind of warranty?
Labour is warrantied for one year on repairs and longer on repipes and installations. Manufacturer warranties on parts and equipment pass through to you, and we register them on your behalf.
