Free estimate, quoted before we start

A drain that has slowed is telling you something specific, and the useful question is what. Kitchen lines usually close up with grease that has cooled and hardened against the pipe wall. Older east-side homes with clay or cast-iron laterals are more often dealing with root intrusion or a section that has bellied and holds water.
Cabling opens the line. Hydro jetting scours it back to the pipe wall, which is what actually resets the clock on a recurring problem. Which one you need depends on what the camera shows, and we would rather look first than sell you the more expensive option by default.
Every drain call includes a camera inspection when the line allows it, because a clog that returns in six weeks was never really cleared. If we find a break, a belly, or roots that will keep coming back, we will show you the footage rather than describe it.
Signs you need drain cleaning & hydro jetting
- More than one fixture draining slowly at the same time
- Gurgling from a tub or toilet when another fixture drains
- Sewage smell near a floor drain or cleanout
- Recurring clogs in the same line despite repeated snaking
What the job includes
- Camera inspection of the affected line where access allows
- Cabling or hydro jetting chosen from what the camera actually shows
- Full-line clearing rather than punching a hole through the blockage
- Cause identified — grease, roots, belly, or break — not just the symptom
- Footage and findings shared with you before any larger repair is proposed
- Drop cloths down and the work area cleaned before we leave
Drain Cleaning & Hydro Jetting questions
- What is the difference between snaking and hydro jetting?
- A cable punches through a blockage and restores flow. Jetting scours the pipe wall back to bare material. Cabling is often enough for a one-off; jetting is what stops a recurring problem from recurring.
- Do you use a camera every time?
- Whenever the line and access allow, yes. Clearing a drain without seeing why it blocked is how the same clog comes back in a month.
- Are chemical drain cleaners a problem?
- They are hard on older cast-iron and can sit against a full blockage doing damage without clearing it. If a drain has not moved after one attempt, stop pouring and call.
